Where Highland resilience meets an open gate

For more than a century, our family has worked this Hudson Valley land, keeping a ranching tradition passed down through four generations. At the heart of it is the breed: a hundred years spent refining the bloodlines, strength, and resilience of our Highland cattle.

Our story

A Highland cow and her calves on the upper pasture, grazed by the herd since 1921.

The bloodlines

Highlands have been the heart of the farm since the 1920s. In 1987 the family added a small registered Angus herd, kept as a separate purebred line and used to breed Highland × Angus crosses. Both herds are closed, so every animal we offer traces back through lines the family has documented.

From our buyers and guests

  • We had never kept cattle. The family walked our fence line with us before we bought anything, and the two heifers settled in within a week.

    Rachel M.Dutchess County, New York
  • Two nights in the farmhouse and a morning in the corral. Our children still talk about the milking, and about the bull watching from the far fence.

    The Okafor familyBrooklyn, New York
  • Three seasons of calves from their Glen Ard bull, every one calm and well made. The pedigree papers go back further than any herd we looked at.
